PRAIRIE VOICE
Let the wind
be your oldest friend.
Let it call you
through the grass
that remembers
your name
even when you forget.
Let the stars—
not the roads—
guide your going.
And when you lie down
in the hush between seasons,
may the land hold you
not as visitor,
but as seed.
