Spoke in the Wheel
In the silence
of the room, no laughter,
no glances shared.
You become
the spoke, asking where
they’re from, what they
read, what makes them laugh.
You name the silence
not a threat, but a seed
waiting for water.
And slowly, they grow
toward each other.
