The Art That Melts
He shaped a perfect circle
from snow and breath, knowing
it would not last.
Wind would take it. Or sun.
Or a quiet deer brushing
past in the night.
Still, he gave it his
whole attention.
And when it vanished, the world
was different because
someone had seen what
could be done with winter.
