loose change
and the music in my pocket
has no continuous theme, no
overwhelming climax,
no grand finale
blue shorts
and no one sees
the garments beneath,
what is clothed in secret,
what I wear for no one but
me
the secret place
and we will meet
between the trees
in that crevice,
the eye of a summer
sky,
spilling my loose change upon a carpet
of aspen leaves.
