Poem segment 1
V. Faster Currents
Now meaning moves faster.
A phrase crosses continents
before breakfast.
A generated image
becomes memory
for someone who never saw
the original event.
The machine reorganizes language
faster than reflection can follow.
Patterns surge forward immediately—
memes, slogans, outrage,
synthetic tenderness.
Nothing waits long enough
to settle fully.
Attention thins under speed.
You scroll through twenty emotions
in seven minutes.
Still, the old structure remains:
someone offers meaning,
someone receives it,
someone reshapes it again.
Only now
the circulation accelerates
like floodwater after heavy rain,
carrying debris, seeds,
whole pieces of houses
downstream together.
